Hot For 2022 Irish Acts: Fintan McKahey

FINTAN MCKAHEY

Cork’s 96fm ‘A New Local Hero’ winner proved a hit at the competition’s live final in November in The Academy, Dublin. The lo-fi indie singer-songwriter started playing and writing music at a young age, and began releasing original tracks in 2016. A multi-instrumentalist and producer, Fintan is proficient across several instruments and produces all of his own music. 2020 singles ‘Platinum’ and ‘Goodbye’ showcased intense vulnerability, while 2021’s ‘Lost Balloons’ elevated him to the next level.
