Horslips forced to pull out of Marquee date
The legendary trad rockers have been forced to cancel their June outing at the 'Live at the Marquee' series, due to the sudden illness of Jim Lockhart.
Though flautist and keyboard player Lockhart is expected to make a full recovery, doctors have advised him against performing until the autumn of this year as a precaution. Unfortunately this means the band will miss a chance to reschedule the marquee show as the series ends in early August after a run of Mamma Mia shows.
Tickets for the June 26 show will be refunded in full at the point of purchase.
The band's bass player Barry Devlin said: "We're aware of the inconvenience caused and obviously tickets will be refunded and though we're personally gutted at what has happened we're delighted
that Jim is on his way to a full recovery."
