Hollandaze
CANADIAN TRIO MAKE A LOVEABLY LAIRY DEBUT
Odonis Odonis are a noise-pop outfit from Toronto who are hell-bent on creating songs that are consciously nasty, and Hollandaze is their debut album. Incorporating garage rock, punk, surf, trance, goth, shoe-gaze and more, the record is an unflinchingly loud and lo-fi release that’s big on riffs, but not quite as big on imagination. Still, the dirty guitars on ‘Handle Bars’ and the title track are great, granny-bothering tracks that sound huge when turned up to 11.
