Heroes welcomed again in 2004
August is shaping up to be the month for alternative Irish talent with the return of Hard Working Class Heroes and the Mor festival...
Inspired by the success of last year's inaugural event, the Hard Working Class Heroes festival is set to return over the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
Running from Friday to Sunday, the live action takes place in the Temple Bar Music Centre, Meeting House Square, The Hub, Eamon Doran's, St. Michael's Church and The Black Box.
Along with the main gigs, the 2004 beano will include a series of unsigned showcases, debates on various music industry-related topics, and a series of workshops which will also delve into film and photography.
Also happening again in August is Mor, a two-day splurge of dance eclecticism which kept 800 people entertained last year at Charleville Castle in Tullamore. Men and women of the people that they are, the organisers are asking for people to send in suggestions for this year's programme c/o the www.morfestival.com website.
