HamsandwicH ready for Whelan's gig
The show takes place as part of the venue's 25th anniversary
Tuesday, July 15th Whelan's will be the setting for a conecert from Irish indie pop veterans HamsandwicH, who are marking their tenth anniversary since they first performed at the venue.
Fresh off of their opening gig for Arcade Fire, the HamsandwicH show will pay tribute to their history at the storied venue as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. The band also shares a much more somber connection with Whelan's, as their former manager Derek Nally, who has a long history of promoting acts and booking shows at Whelan's, passed away four years ago. The band will be paying homage to Nally as part of the show.
On the topic of new music from the band, HamsandwicH is currently working on their long-awaited followup to White Fox and will likely mixing in some of the new tracks from the album into their playlist.
