Guns ‘n’ Roses bassist calls it a day

DJ Ashba has posted an open letter addressed to all his supporters and also Axl Rose, in a heartfelt thank you for the last six years that he’s been in the band.

“I want to take a moment to thank Axl from the bottom of my heart for not only the most incredible experience of my life, but for truly believing in me… I also would like to thank each and every one of you fans for your love and support throughout the years.”

DJ Ashba says he is closing this chapter of his life to now pursue a career within his own band, Sixx:A.M., and to dedicate himself to his wife and family.

Something tells me the Guns ‘n’ Roses show goes on though, with frontman Axl Rose at the helm of the infamously dysfunctional band and only remaining original member. You can be sure to expect news of a new G'n'R bassist soon…
