Green invited to Italian Songeriters' Festival
Cathryn Green, the South African singer-songwriter now based in Dublin, has been invited to perform at the Biella Festival in Italy this year
The festival, which takes place in October, is one of the most important events in Italy for emerging songwriters, and the invitation is a huge boost to Green’s career.
On the home front she will play support to Caruso at the Grand Social on January 28 and is also booked for The Stables in Mullingar on February 4 and Bruxelles’ Zodiac Sessions in Dublin on February 9.
Green’s debut EP Can You Understand? was released in October last year. Writing in Hot Press, Jackie Hayden said “This is so good we could soon be claiming her as one of our own." He later chose Green as his solo female artist of the year.
