Grandmaster Flash to open Tripod tonight

"Green lights are go folks," confirmed Tripod's spokesman yesterday. "It opens tomorrow night with the legend that is Grandmaster Flash."
The hip-hop DJ, who's still going strong after 30 years behind the decks, will initate the venue that forms part of the POD complex on Harcourt Street, south Dublin.
"We're over the moon that we've finally getting the go ahead," says Declan Forde of POD Promotions. "We're confident that everyone who goes and everyone who plays will be impressed with the venue."
hotpress.com had the pleasure of a sneaky peek last week, and can confirm that state-of-the-art venue is a welcome addition to the Irish music scene.
