Bob Marley engineer Tony Platt has also produced a live album for the band, with Vivienne Long on cello...
Grace Wilde, fronted by Audrey Fay and Enda Duffy, have announced a headline show at Whelan’s in Dublin. The band have just returned to home soil from Germany, where they played a sold out series of shows – including a headline appearance at a festival attended by over 2,000 people in the city of Lubeck, Northern Germany.
The North Dublin outfit will perform a rare Irish show in Whelans, Dublin this Sunday, in the main venue – with tickets priced at €10.
The band's debut EP was released earlier this year and featured the standout title single ‘Bring Me To My Knees' - the video for which you can check out below. The EP was recorded at Grouse Lodge Studios and produced and engineered by Tony Platt (Bob Marley, AC/DC, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Boomtown Rats). Platt also recorded and produced a live acoustic album ‘Let Me In’ featuring Vyvienne Long on cello, which is on sale at Grace Wilde gigs.
Grace Wilde blend elements of jazz, blues, soul, folk and rock, with frontwoman Audrey Fay’s powerful voice forming a potent attraction.
“Grace Wilde is themed around opposites,” Audrey explains, "to be graceful yet wild all at once. To encompass all sides of life, as we are, mere mortals – both beautiful and ugly.” The band are planning to complete their debut album over the coming months.
