Gomez announce Irish and UK dates

Having just finished an extensive tour of North America, Gomez have announced details of a UK and Irish tour, taking in Dublin, Belfast and Derry.

The bowler hatted Britons will kick off their tour on November 19 at the Dublin Ambassador, before playing Derry's Nerve Centre on November 20 as part of the Tennent's ViTal Presents series. You can sign up for this free invitation-only event at www.vitalpresents.com, where 175 double passes will be issued for both Gomez and The Zutons gig on October 28.

The following day, November 21 sees Gomez play Belfast's new Spring & Airbrake venue, which opens next month on Ormeau Avenue as part of the Limelight/Katy Daly's group.

Gomez' live dates coincide with the release of 'Sweet Virginia', the newest single from their Split The Difference album. Fans would be interested to know that the single, released on CD and 7", includes a new song 'Royalty', with the CD release also featuring 'Champagne For Monkeys' and 'Bed Hairdo', both of which were previously available only as downloads.
