Glen Hansard announces Dublin show
Tickets will go on sale Friday, November 7.
Irish songwriter Glen Hansard has announced a Europe and UK tour, which will include a performance at Dublin’s Trinity College on July 2, 2026, as part of the Trinity Summer Series.
The show will feature Hansard performing with his full band and will coincide with a new project, set to be announced soon.
The 16-date run will see Hansard perform across major European and UK cities, including shows in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, and London, before concluding with a headline performance in Dublin.
Hansard began his career busking on the streets of Dublin before forming The Frames in 1990. The band released several albums, including Fitzcarraldo in 1996 and Burn the Maps in 2004, both of which reached No.1 in Ireland.
He rose to international prominence following his starring role in the 2007 film Once, co-starring Markéta Irglová. Their song ‘Falling Slowly’ won the Academy Award for Best Original Song the following year and inspired the Tony Award-winning Once the Musical.
Hansard has since released multiple solo albums, most recently All That Was East Is West Of Me Now in 2023, which Hot Press rated 8/10, ranking it "amongst the finest records of Hansard’s career."
Tickets for Glen Hansard's Dublin show will go on sale Friday, November 7 here.
