Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition Now Open
Entry for the Emerging Talent Competition opened at 9am today, and closes at 5pm next Monday
Entries for the Glastonbury Emerging Competition, open to all UK and Ireland based acts of any genre, are now being accepted.
The winning band the opportunity to play on one of the festivals main stages, with the added bonus of a tasty little cash prize for the winner and two runners-up.
The winning band will receive a £5,000 Talent Development prize sponsored by PRS for Music Foundation, to allow the triumphant act to bring their career to the next level. The two runner-up prizes are £2,500 each.
In order to enter the competition you must supply a SoundCloud link to one original song and a link to a video of a live performance. The video does not have to be professionally recorded, or even at a venue - it can be recorded on a phone in your bedroom or garage. Which explains that rumbling sound you hear; it's every musician nearby charging to grab their iPhones...
