Ghetto Amaretto EP follows UCC victory
To capitalise on their recent triumph in the UCC Battle of the Bands competition, Waterford band Ghetto Amaretto will launch their EP For Every Him, Her, and They in Cyprus Avenue, Cork on Tuesday, April 13.
As the band’s Chris Falconer revealed to Hot Press, “We have concocted an interesting mix for the night. Support will be the Cork’s I.D., a minimal/techno dj group - mixing complementary styles.
Through the power of viral advertisement, we are hoping to create a buzz of anticipation around the event, and intend to make it a defining night for the band. With the healthy financial prize we received from the victory in UCC, we have been able at long last to afford CD production of recordings we made last summer.
Indeed, Cork has become our second home, so we decided upon Cyprus Avenue as the launch venue to say 'thank you' to the city which has nurtured us like it was our own.”
Ghetto Amaretto are over two and a half years together, during which they’ve recorded two EPs, a debut music video ( ) and a successful single, and supported The Frank & Walters.
