Genre Free launches tonight!
There will be plenty of music in the Button Factory, plus that all important download on hotpress.com...
Team Hot Press will be out in force tonight for the launch of Genre Free, the download album that’s being given away at 10pm that day online.
Kicking off a couple of hours earlier in the Dublin Button Factory, the equally free gig will feature live sets from Kid Karate, Frederick & The Golden Dawn, Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters, Izzy Quinn, The Fibbs and Dirty 9s who all have two tracks apiece on the compilation which was assembled in Dublin’s STC studios.
As the title implies, it’s an extremely varied collection of songs by six acts who we believe have it in ‘em to go all the way.
There’ll be no let up in the rock ‘n’ roll action with two stages and lots of other exciting happenings on the night.
Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, so no dilly-dallying in the pub round the corner beforehand.

Genre Free Vol. 1 unleashed, the search begins for the half-dozen bands and solo artists who’ll get to record in Dublin’s Sound Training Centre for gratis.
