Franz Ferdinand covers EP to get full release

The Record Store Day rarity that was Franz Ferdinand's Covers EP will get a full release on May 2. The 5-song EP features cover versions by such esteemed artists as Debbie Harry, LCD Soundsystem, Peaches and Stephen Merritt. The covers are all from the band's 3rd album Tonight and has gotten full backing from the Scots with frontman Alex Kapranos stating "This is an EP of covers of our songs by people whose music we love".
