Football club back Jones' new single!
Cork City football club are enthusiastically getting behind the release of 'Rip It Up', the debut single by Cork-born solo artist Daniel Jones.
Jones spent a season playing with the team in the late nineties, and he has agreed to give the club all proceeds from the sale of the single which was previewed exclusively on the Green on Red programme on Cork’s Red FM.
'Rip It Up' was released on June 25 on Index Records to coincide with Cork City's home game against Limerick and Jones performed the song live at Turner’s Cross at half time. The single will be available from HMV on Patrick Street and from the club's online shop at CorkCityFC.net, and will also be available to download via the iTunes Store.
To date Daniel has released two critically acclaimed EPs, and plans to release his debut album Forever, In Disguise in September 2010. 'Rip It Up' is the first single taken from the album.
