Fontaines D.C. announce release of single 'It's Amazing To Be Young'

Fontaines D.C. will release a new single, 'It's Amazing To Be Young,' at midnight tonight. It is the band's first release since their lauded 2024 album, Romance.

The Dublin band shared the news in a recent Instagram post. "Our new song It’s Amazing To Be Young is out at midnight,' read the post's caption, under an image of a vinyl in a multi-colour, sprayed neon case.

The band had previously teased the song on Wednesday in a different Instagram post, in which they shared a snippet of what seems to be the song's music video. The video shows a girl with a despondent look, staring out the back window of a red car as it drives away.

A fragment of 'It's Amazing To Be Young' can be heard in the video. The sound, while similar to that of the band's last album, is also reminiscent of The Cure.

"It’s amazing to be young / Sometimes I wake up and it’s dark / Perform the ritual that puts me in the part," sings Grian Chatten in the video.
