Fontaines D.C. and Just Mustard slated to perform at Best Kept Secret 2022

Fontaines D.C. and Just Mustard are set to perform at Best Kept Secret in 2022 as part of a star-studded lineup.

The Irish acts are joined by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Strokes and alt-J for the three day camping festival. Jamie xx, Leon Bridges, Mura Masa, Wolf Alice, Big Thief, Black Midi, Beach House, Sigrid and Jessie Ware are also set to perform.

The festival boasts a number of other attractions including the De Pont Museum, Films In The Forest and a variety of restaurants. Best Kept Secret will return to Hilvarenbeek in the Netherlands next summer between June 10–12 as it makes its comeback. The last two installments of the festival were cancelled due to Covid.

Tickets go on sale next Tuesday (November 30) at 12pm with a presale for those who purchased tickets for the cancelled events of 2020 and 2021 running three hours prior. Only weekend tickets are available at the moment with single day tickets available from February 1st, 2022. More info is available here.

Fontaines D.C. are set to head out on a European tour next year with support from Just Mustard. The tour begins in Madrid on March 20th and sees the Irish stars travelling across Europe before playing their final date in Paris on April 11th.

Fontaines D.C. recently shared details on their “extremely dark” upcoming album:

"The third album is really good," bassist Conor Deegan told NME and added that they "thought the songs were quite poppy. We thought we’d got this sound that was finally the sound that we wanted to get across the songs, which we thought was quite poppy.

“We showed them to our manager, and he said, ‘Lads, this is the darkest shit you’ve ever written!’ And we were like, ‘What? What are you talking about? This bass melody is catchy, this vocal melody is catchy’. He was just like, ‘No, this is extremely dark’. So there you go!"
