Folk Bitch Trio share new single ‘Moth Song’ and announce Dublin show
Their debut album Now Would Be A Good Time comes out July 25 via Jagjaguwar.
Melbourne and Naarm-based band Folk Bitch Trio have released their new gingle and video 'Moth Song', hailing from their debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time, out July 25 via Jagjaguwar.
They have also announced nice tour dates across the UK and Europe, including a stop in Dublin’s Whelan’s on August 22.
Folk Bitch Trio’s Gracie Sinclair explains that ‘Moth Song’ is about “being so spun out by everything that you feel like you’re delusional and hallucinating crazy things.”

The songs on Now Would Be A Good Time were workshopped on tour and recorded in Auckland with Tom Healy during winter 2024. The band have built out these songs with minimalist arrangements, letting voices and guitar take centre stage.
“We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives,” says Folk Bitch Trio’s Jeanie Pilkington. “But for me at least, when I looked into the future, it was this relatively mysterious thing.”
In the past, the band have toured across Australia, Europe and the US, supporting bands as disparate as King Gizzard, Alex G and Julia Jacklin.
Tickets for Folk Bitch Trio’s August 22 show are on sale now here.
