Foals share release date of album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2
Foals showcase their darker side on Part 2.
On their Instagram, Foals shared the release date of their new album Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2. It completes the dual album project they announced in January of this year. Part 2 will come out on October 18.
The video that they posted on their Instagram account shows a graveyard covered with flowers. It also features a short sample of music that gives us an insight of what the album will sound like.
The announcement proves what we predicted when Foals played a new song from the album at the Trinity Summer Series in the beginning of July: Part 2 of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost will be darker and rockier than its predecessor.
This theory was also confirmed by drummer Jack Bevan in an interview with NME: "It is a proper banger. I just don’t think that people will expect that of Part 2. To me, as a cynical bastard, if someone was going to put out an album in two parts then you'd top-load it on the first one and then have all the boring stuff on the second one. Actually, we've flip-reversed it."
He also hinted at a banger of a lead single, which presumably will come out soon: "We've got maybe the biggest single that we've ever made maybe as the lead single, then there's another one that I forgot about that's maybe even bigger."
