Exclusive: WATCH Brand New Friend cover George Ezra's 'Paradise'
Northern Irish quartet Brand New Friend cover George Ezra's 'Paradise' in a Hot Press exclusive.
Vocalists Lauren and Taylor Johnson deliver beautiful harmonies in a strummed-out jam session.
We reckon the acoustic cover could give Ezra himself a run for his money.
This cover comes just a few weeks after the band's latest single, 'Why Are You So Tired?', was released earlier this month.
The single, branded by the band as the most personal on the album, was written for Taylor's then girlfriend, who was anaemic.
"She never wanted to worry me when she wasn’t well, so the only way to know for sure how she was feeling was to ask her to show me her eyes," Taylor says in relation to the single's lyrics. "This song was a gentle reminder for her to look after herself, that I’d do anything for her and that even if she was past caring, the people around her cared massively about her.”
Brand New Friend have also announced that they will be main support for fellow Northern Irish rockers Ash on three of their sold out UK shows in August:
13th August Hebden Bridge Trades Club
14th August Bedford Esquires
15th August Tunbridge Wells Forum
'Why Are You So Tired' is available now.
