Hear new material from Bono and The Edge before it hits the shelves...
The production of Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has been mired in controversy. From injuries to departures to delays, some wondered if the show would ever see the light of day. However it seems all is finally well and ready to go, with positive reports emerging from the first showings.
We've kept a close eye on the goings-on here at Hot Press, primarily due to the involvement of Bono and The Edge, both of whom have taken care of the music and lyrics for the production.
The show doesn't officially open until June 14 but you can beat the crowds and enjoy what the U2 men have conjured up by streaming the soundtrack album days before its release. Universal Music and Eircom MusicHub have teamed up to bring you the exclusive first listen from Tuesday June 7. Simply log onto [link]www.eircommusichub.ie[/link] next Tuesday to hear the full album.

Produced by Steve Lilywhite, the Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark soundtrack features 14 new and original songs written and arranged by Bono and The Edge. The tracks are performed by lead actors Reeve Carney, Jennifer Damiano, T.V. Carpio and Patrick Page with additional contribution from Bono and The Edge, while the music is provided by the musical's 20-piece orchestra.
Speaking to Olaf Tyransen for Hot Press recently, Bono described the whole experience as "a wild ride". Will the chaos of the production translate to the music? Don't miss your chance to find out on Tuesday.
