Evolution: One day festival for Arklow [Updated]
One day festival, Evolution has been postponed
The shindig was scheduled to go ahead on November 13 in Glencart Castle, Arklow but due to a Local Authority inspection has been delayed. A new date is to be announced over the next week. Evolution will be 48 Irish bands and DJs covering everything, from rock to drum 'n' bass to reggae/ska, and all sorts in between, playing across 3 stages. Costumed rockers Warlords Of Pez, recently seen at the Spiegeltent, headline one stage. Mr Spring, of 2fm Sessions' fame, tops another bill. Reggae dub outfit Firehouse Skank also play, following an appearance at DEAF. The one day extravaganza will also feature Davy Splyce, Beta 2, XS & Banny, Khanktra, Tranceformation, Dj Orbit, The Infomatics Rohan and many more. Tickets, a relative snip at €45, are available on www.evolutioneire.com and from All City Records, Abbey Discs, Selectah and Spindizzy. We'll keep you posted with further details.
