Emeli Sandé holds off The Script to top album chart
The British R'n'B powerhouse held off a late charge from The Script to hang on to No.1 spot for another week.
Emile Sande continues to outsell the rest this week as Our Version Of Events tops the Irish album chart for yet another week.
She had to see off a late charge from Dublin lads The Script, who following their hugely successful sold-out homecoming shows in Dublin and Belfast during the last week, have jumped 12 places to second position with #3. The groups self-titled 2008 debut also charts this week, re-entering at No.25.
Bruno Mars jumps four places to No.3 with Unorthodox Jukebox, while the Les Miserables soundtrack drops down to fourth position.
Building on the massive success of their 'Pompeii' single, hotly-tipped Londoners Bastille enter the album chart at No.5 with their Bad Blood debut.
The rest of the top ten has a familiar look to it with Pink, Passenger, Lumineers and One Direction featuring. The exception being US singer-songwriter Josh Ritter (who dropped into the office last week), whose The Beast In The Tracks album enters the chart at No.10.
Stereophonics and Dido make long awaited returns to the album chart this week, registering new entries at No.13 and 14 respectively. While much-hyped UK songstress Laura Mvula enters at No.15 with her debut album Sing To The Moon.
There are also further new entries for Andre Rieu (31), Frances Black (39), and Chris De Burgh (45).
