Ellie Goulding holds off Rihanna, Kanye & McCartney to top singles chart
‘Love Me Like You Do’ retains top spot
Another week, and another week at No.1 for Ellie Goulding, as ‘Love Me Like You Do’ continues its residency at the summit.
It holds of the challenge of ‘Four Five Seconds’, which saw the power trio of Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney climb as high as No. 2. Mark Ronson’s ‘Uptown Funk’ slips to third, while a pair of British strummers complete the top five; James Bay and Ed Sheeran see ‘Hold Back The River’ and ‘Thinking Out Loud’ are at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.
Below them, it’s more familiar faces; Maroon 5, Sia, Hozier and Echosmith all stick around the top ten, with ‘King’ the only new entry, for BBC Sound of 2015 winners Years & Years.
