Duke Special leads Irish contingent in alternative Xmas compilation
Duke Special, Hal, Iain Archer and 747s are part of the all-star cast of a Christmas charidee album.
On It's Not Like Christmas, Mr Special collaborates with British singer/songwriter David Ford on 'Of Whoredome & Christmas', which is a suitably seasonal tale of Xmas in Lewes (Ford's resident town) and Belfast (Duke Special's city).
The album also features The Joesph And Mary Chain, a supergroup of sorts which features The Futureheads plus Field Music, Kathryn Williams and Golden Virgins. They perform the classic 'Twelve Days Of Christmas'.
All the proceeds from the album, released in a physical format on December 13 but available virtually now, will go to homeless charity Shelter.
