Taking to Instagram, DUG have revealed that a total of €6,519.88 was raised for the Irish Red Cross Gaza Appeal at the band's Palestine Solidarity Night in The Sugar Club last month.
The fundraiser show, which featured performances from DUG, John Francis Flynn, Laura Quirke, and Joshua Burnside, took place on December 28.
DUG spoke to Hot Press about their plans for the show as part of our Christmas Summit '25.
"We were trying to figure out a way to show solidarity and thought, ‘Let's do a fundraiser with all the money going to the Irish Red Cross Gaza Appeal,’" explained DUG's Conor O'Reilly. "We contacted some friends and everybody said ‘Yes!’"
DUG released their album, Have At It!, back in September - with the project included among Hot Press's Top 10 Folk Albums of 2025.
According to the Irish Red Cross website, the organisation has partnered with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society to provide emergency relief and medical aid, as well as supporting hospitals and mobile clinics in Gaza.
