Dublin beatmaker Marcus Woods shares new tape, shibui

Dublin producer Marcus Woods has released his latest beat tape, shibui, on District Recordings.

The tape pays homage to Japanese jazz musician, Yuji Ohno, sampling some of his works.

“The concept of the tape is subtle beauty, as shibui is a term in Japanese referring to the aesthetic of simple and unobtrusive beauty,” Woods says of the new tape.

shibui is available on all major streaming platforms and iTunes now, with a launch-party taking place tomorrow, May 12, in The Bernard Shaw.
