Drogheda drill artist Offica releases 'TAKE IT (YUCK)' feat. Dbo
Offica, described as the "Officer in Charge" of the collective, has rapidly become one of the country's most compelling talents – pushing drill in bold new directions, with his trademark fusion of Yoruba, Irish and UK slang.
After a successful 2020 comprised of breakthrough singles ‘Face Reveal', 'Opor' and 'Where’s the Motive?' featuring drill royalty Blanco and rising star Reggie B; Offica has now released his first track of 2021 - 'TAKE IT (YUCK)' alongside Dbo.
Irish drill collective A92 ended last year by dropping their impressive 92 Degrees mixtape and charted with ‘Plugged In Freestyle’ in the Official Top 40 in both the UK and Ireland.
As well as Offica, A92 is made up of BT, Nikz, K-Sav, Ace, Dbo and Kebz. Each member of the A92 collective – named after the postcode in Drogheda, Co. Louth where they grew up – had established themselves as a formidable force in their own right, before joining the group.
Offica's new single ‘TAKE IT (YUCK)’, featuring Dbo, is surefire drill classic produced by Charley Manson and Kid Spyals.
Packed with rapid-fire rhymes and cocky bravado from Offica, the Drogheda artist uses his native pidgin and Irish slang as his sleight of hand.
Since the release of his breakout hit 'Naruto Drillings' last year, along with the remix of the track with YouTube star KSI, Offica has clocked up over 16 million streams. He’s also built up his reputation with an appearance on drill pioneers Skengdo x AM's track 'Glance' – all the while wearing his trademark Naruto mask. His acclaimed single 'Face Reveal' saw Offica finally remove the mask – and hit #7 on the YouTube's viral chart.
