Discogs has unveiled their new iPhone app, available for free download.

The app allows you to manage your collection and access it when you're not online.

With over 6 million releases, by 4 million artists, the need to keep up with their ever increasing database means that the app is being launched at the prefect time.

While you're searching for treasures in your local record store, pop open the app and check if you already own it. Search the Discog database and discover new music on the go. Use you camera, scan the record's barcode and search for its release.

Discog are also planing to invest in album cover image search technology, to improve your sorting and searching options.
