Devils & Angels
Underwhelming, mum-friendly soft-rock with songs painstakingly crafted with sugary sweet singing from future heart breaker Chris Coon.
Sounding like their music is tailor-made for an Amy Heckerling movie, Melee seem like a nice bunch of boys. Fusing elements of the Goo Goo Dolls and Keane, the band are big on soft rock choruses and “let’s go walking hand in hand in the rain because I wuv you” sentiment, which isn’t such a bad thing in this day and age. The songs are painstakingly crafted with sugary sweet singing from future heart (and chart) breaker Chris Coon and even though they are about as hardcore as a marshmallow they are quite charming in a way, just like that fluffy bunny you always wanted for Christmas but never got.
