Death Grips deny breakup rumours in new post
Speculation that the group was breaking up spread in February.
Death Grips have denied rumours that they’re splitting up, they wrote in an Instagram post.
“Despite rumor and hearsay, we remain active as Death Grips,” wrote Stefan “MC Ride” Burnett and Zach Hill.

The announcement, which marks their first post on Instagram since 2023, comes on the heels of speculation that the group was disbanding. A post displaying alleged messages from member Andy Morin circulated in February.
“Yeah it's over,” they read. “Stefan doesn't want to do any more. But truthfully none of us can ever predict what will happen with the group.”

In 2014, fans also anticipated that the group would break up.
“We are now at our best and so Death Grips is over,” they wrote on a napkin uploaded to their Facebook account. “We have officially stopped. All currently scheduled live dates are canceled.”
Since then, they went on to release four new albums. In 2023, they toured after taking a four-year hiatus.
