David Kitt's covers album uncovered
Kittser has revealed details of his new covers album which hits stores next month.
David Kitt has announced details of his eagerly-awaited covers album, The Black And Red Notebook, which is being released in late September through his own as-yet-unnamed independent label.
Tracks include: 'Haunt Me' (Jape), 'Never Stop' (Money Mark), 'Magnolia' (JJ Cale), 'Teenage Riot' (Sonic Youth), 'Dancing In The Moonlight' (Thin Lizzy), 'And Your Bird Can Sing' (The Beatles), 'Going In A Field' (Ivor Cutler), 'Pale Blue Eyes' (The Velvet Underground) and a remake of his own 'All Night Long'.
Following his departure from Warner Music in June, a spokesperson reveals that, "We've been talking to them about regaining the rights to his three previous albums. Already he's been approached by three major labels and a couple of indies but he's concentrating on writing and will review his options in the autumn."
When he'll be clocking up some serious mileage with visits to the Model Arts & Niland Gallery, Sligo (September 2); An Grianan, Letterkenny (3); Electric Picnic, Laois (4); Dolan's, Limerick (8); Cleere's, Kilkenny (9); The Vault, Cork (11); Millbank Theatre, Rush (12); Roisin Dubh, Galway (14); Ruby Room, Castlebar (16); Soundhouse, Naas (17); DCU, Dublin (October 4); University of Limerick (6); Cork University (7); Ballbriggan Arts Festival (21); and Spirit Store, Dundalk (24).
