Dave Clarke drops new single featuring Mark Lanegan and announces new album
After a 14 year hiatus, techno and electronic music icon Dave Clarke has dropped a brand new single, 'Charcoal Eyes (Glass Tears)’, featuring the vocals of former QOTSA member Mark Lanegan.
The track will be the first release from Clarke’s third full length album. titled The Desecration of Desire.
Mark’s gritty vocals sit perfectly over Dave’s incisive, floor driven drums as the track builds to an intense conclusion.
The Desecration of Desire follows 1995’s collection of singles Archive One and 2003’s Devil’s Advocate, which came produced under various outside pressures. As such, this new album is Clarke’s first fully formed musical vision as he would want it. “I decided to write it as I would a book, so the track order you have was also the order in which they were also written, like chapters,” he says in the accompanying sleeve notes.
The Desecration of Desire will be released on October 27.
