Curtisy flies the flag for Irish rap with freestyle on US music platform On The Radar

Curtisy continues to take his Jobstown-forged sound to brand new audiences – with the Dublin rapper having just become the latest artist to feature on popular US music platform On The Radar.

The New York-based hip-hop platform has garnered a massive online following since its launch in 2018, with 2.4 million followers on TikTok, 2.2 million followers in Instagram, and 1.85 million subscribers on YouTube. Major names like Drake, Central Cee, Kodak Black, Fetty Wap, Meek Mill, Lil Yachty, Remy Ma, Shaggy, Hanumankind and Ice Spice have all performed On The Radar Freestyles over the years.

Another hotly tipped Irish rapper, Youngiz, also made an appearance on On The Radar last year – with his freestyle having since been released as a single, 'JAY-Z'.

As well as performing his track 'Sonny' – taken from Get a Life!, his 2026 collaborative project with Irish producer owin – Curtisy delivered his own On The Radar Freestyle, while wearing a cap emblazoned with the statement: 'Listen To Irish Rap'.

Back in August, Curtisy also flew the flag for homegrown hip-hop at Sziget in Budapest, with an acclaimed set at the dropYard stage. He made a serious impression at Eurosonic, Europe's leading music showcase festival, earlier this year too, and has continued to garner praise from publications both at home and overseas.
