Cry Before Dawn return with new single
'Is This What You Waited For?' will get an April 11 release...
The Cry Before Dawn reunion gathers apace with the release of ‘Is This What You Waited For?’, the Wexford outfit’s first single in two decades, which is being released on April 11 by Dublin independent Reekus Records.
It’s already shaping up to be a big airplay hit with South East Radio, Cork’s 96FM and Dublin’s Q102 all giving it a major ‘thumbs up’.
One of about 3,232* Irish bands who were hailed in the ‘80s as “the new U2”, Cry Before Dawn were a huge draw here but less successful in the UK where their two CBS albums, Crimes Of Conscience and Witness For The World, stalled just outside the top 50.
Catch the chaps live when they play Park Lodge, Spiddal (19) and a Rose of Mooncoin gig in the titular Kilkenny town (20).
* Estimated number.
