A welcome discovery from January’s Ones To Watch festival, blues outfit Rufus Coates & The Blackened Trees boast not one, but two dumbfoundingly gritty singers, the steel-lunged Jess Smith and the frontman of the moniker, both of whom push their remarkable pipes to the limit in this Myles O’Reilly-directed live session.
