The latest chapter of the Travis v Aslan saga: Travis were never told Aslan were offered the Marlay Park gig in the first place - and they are more than welcome on the bill, if "MCD can accommodate them"

Travis have responded to claims that they didn't want Aslan supporting them at Marlay Park because Christy and the boys sound "too like Marillion."

Reads an official statement: "Travis have never been informed that Aslan were booked to appear with them at the show in Dublin on July 21st. Our subsequent inquiries indicate that the promoter, MCD, offered the show to Aslan without any consultation with Travis.

"Travis had already invited Mull Historical Society and McAlmont & Butler to appear as guests with them for this show but would be happy to invite Aslan to appear as well, assuming that MCD can accommodate them on the bill."
