Come On Live Long: Everything Fall
Dublin five-piece find form with stellar debut...
When people listen back to the soundtrack of 2013, they’ll find it excruciatingly difficult to evade the sound of synth. While most revivalists are dishing out obvious melodies, Dublin five-piece, Come On Live Long, have gone against the grain and instead look to Bon Iver’s second LP for inspiration.
‘Wasteland’ sets the ball rolling in relaxed fashion, while Louise Gaffney and Robert Ardiff exchange intertwining vocals on ‘Mountains’ and the Villagers-esque ‘Say Your Prayers’. The standard is maintained throughout. The wonderful ‘Go’ segues into the quietly-charismatic ‘Billions’, drawing curtains on this impressive debut.
Key Track: 'Little Ones'
