Coldplay confirm they're working on seventh album
Chris Martin compares forthcoming release to final Harry Potter book
It may only be a handful of months since Coldplay released their latest album, but today frontman Chris Martin confirmed that the band are already preparing their seventh studio effort.
In an interview with Zane Lowe, Martin revealed that the foursome have returned to the studio and begun recording a new LP, tentatively titled A Head Full of Dreams.
Interestingly, Martin also hinted that the new record may be the last we hear from the band in a while. "It's our seventh thing," he said. "The way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something. Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something."
The band were chatting as their track 'Magic' was named the 'hottest record of the year'.
