Coldplay announce Tik Tok livestream for Red Nose Day
The band recently released their latest single, ‘Higher Power.’
Coldplay will host a Tik Tok concert on the 24th of May, the band announced on their official page on Monday.
The concert will be aired next Monday at 7pm to support the annual Red Nose Day fundraising campaign – which takes place on the 27th of May and aims to end child poverty. This will be Coldplay’s first Tik Tok concert.
The performance will be in London, where the band will play four songs. Coldplay recently played ‘Higher Power’ in London to open the 2021 Brit Awards.
The band also supported Red Nose Day in 2015 with a comedy sketch, 'Game Of Thrones: The Musical'. The 12 minute video has garnered over 35 million views online.
"Red Nose Day does amazing things around the world to keep children safe, healthy, educated and empowered. We're really happy to be able to support their work with this performance,” frontman, Chris Martin said in an official statement.
Coldplay will headline Glastonbury's virtual festival on Saturday, 22nd of May alongside Damon Albarn, Haim, Jorja Smith, DJ Honey Dijon and a number of unannounced surprise guests.
