It looks like the ex Top Gear presenters have found a better name for their new project than Gear Knobs.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have gotten the green light to name their new motoring show for Amazon Prime. The Grand Tour will make its debut on the streaming platform in the autumn. Clarkson himself was the first to reveal the name via Twitter.
So, the Grand Tour (GT for short) will come from a tent, which we will put up in a different location every week. Your town?

The news comes after months of speculation about what the new show could be called. Ex BBC cohosts Richard Hammond and James May have also been tweeting with further hints as to the what exactly the contents of the show will be.
@RichardHammond You have to put it up.

May however seems to be slightly disappointed with the new name as none of his own suggestions made the cut.
I still think 'Nigel' was a better name.https://t.co/nIlrOaosXF

Last year Clarkson was sacked by the BBC for punching producer Oisín Tynon and his long time fellow presenters and friends opted to leave the network in solidarity with him. The trio were subsequently snapped up by Amazon Prime to produce three seasons of a new motoring programme reportedly costing over €200 million.
