Cher Lloyd fails in attempt to take No. 1 spot
The ex- X Factor contestant has to settle for second place as ‘Swagger Jagger’ was unable to topple The Wanted’s ‘Glad You Came off No. 1 in the singles chart.
‘Makes Me Wanna’ by JLS drops down to No. 3 ahead of Pitbull’s ‘Give Me Everything’ and Beyoncé’s ‘Best Thing I Never Had’, while English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran spends another week at No. 6 with ‘The A Team’.
In the album charts, Adele’s 21 is still sitting pretty at No. 1, while Amy Winehouse’s iconic Back To Black has moved up to No. 2 almost two weeks after her death. Beyoncé’s 4, Adele’s 19 and Imelda May’s Mayhem round out the Top 5.
Christy Moore had a good week on the album chart after his appearance on RTE’s For One Night Only with Gay Byrne. The Christy Moore Collection 81 - 91 made it to No. 15, with Live At The Point at 17.
