Charlotte Hatherley set for solo release
Charlotte Hatherley's solo record, Grey Will Fade, is pressed and ready for August release...
Charlotte Hatherley comes over all-extracurricular on August 16 with the release through Double Dragon Records of her Grey Will Fade solo album.
"I made it while we were out in LA, in amongst the recording sessions for the new Ash album," she explains. "I got Rob Ellis in to help me which was cool – I really like what he's done with PJ Harvey. I recorded all the guitars and vocals and we had it finished in a month."
Hatherley also called on the production skills of Eric Drew Feldman who tie-dye wearers may remember from Captain Beefheart.
"A bit of XTC-style music with B-52s vocals was the aim," continues Charlotte who stresses that her number one priority is still Ash.
You can get a sneak preview of the opus on June 7 when 'Kim Wilde' is made available for free download at www.charlottehatherley.com
