Charlotte Hatherley releases debut single
As revealed last month on hotpress.com, Charlotte Hatherley is making her debut solo single, 'Kim Wilde', available as a free download.
Released on-line this week, the first taster from her Grey To Fade album includes such loved-up couplets as: "He looks so good my honey to me/Everything I want, everything I need/We got a good thing going/Feeling in my heart can only keep on growing."
Already a big airplay hit on London's XFM, the tune is equal parts Juliana Hatfield, Belly and The Shangri-Las (you won't hear a better ooh, yeah girly chorus or handclaps all year).
Along with the original cut, her www.charlottehatherley.com website also has an accordion version of 'Kim Wilde' that the master box player herself, Sharon Shannon, would be proud of.
Finally, the Ash guitarist is credited with "backup vocals" on the new International Noise
Conspiracy album, Armed Love. Chaz got pally with the Swedish punks last year when they were both recording in LA.
