Camille O'Sullivan performs at David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust celebration in London
The Irish singer performed alongside Brian Molko, Peaches and Nadine Shah in a live celebration of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
Irish singer and actress Camille O'Sullivan took to the stage at London's Southbank Centre on Saturday, July 11, as part of an all-star celebration of David Bowie's landmark 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
The special concert saw O'Sullivan joined by Placebo frontman Brian Molko, Peaches and Nadine Shah, with composer Fiona Brice leading new orchestral arrangements of Bowie's classic record.
The performance also featured additional Bowie favourites including 'Life On Mars?', 'Ashes To Ashes' and 'Let's Dance'.
O'Sullivan performed 'Soul Love' from Ziggy Stardust before returning later in the evening for a rendition of 'Life On Mars?'.
Born in London and raised in Cork, O'Sullivan has built an international reputation for her dramatic interpretations of artists including David Bowie, Nick Cave, Jacques Brel and Radiohead.
Speaking to Hot Press in a 2020 rapid-fire Q&A, she named David Bowie as her favourite musician, making her appearance at the Ziggy Stardust celebration a particularly fitting one.
The tribute performance comes ahead of O'Sullivan's return to Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre this November with her acclaimed show, The Art Of Falling Apart, a new stage show combining music, storytelling and theatre.
