Dakota 66 to launch new EP Senses at Whelan’s

Dublin indie band Dakota 66 will return to Whelan’s Friday night to launch their new EP, Senses, with special guest Mundy.

Featuring three new tracks, the record follows their 2025 album, Songs From Tomorrow.

The five-piece band formed in 2011, but their first LP, If Not Now, When was not dropped until 2023, a decade later. That record drew inspiration from a range of alternative artists such as The National, R.E.M., Radiohead, Lou Reed and more.

Dakota 66 currently consist of J Gallagher on vocals, Brian Grace on guitar, Brian Curran on bass and Thomas Leonard on drums. They played at Electric Picnic in 2011 and 2012, as well as at venues such as the 3Olympia Theatre and international stages like London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Meanwhile, folk-rock singer Mundy has announced a landmark concert at the National Concert Hall in Dublin to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of his debut album, Jelly Legs.

Since that release in 1996, he's gone on to release a further eight albums.
