Cal Pacino releases new single ‘Bop Witchu’
Deise man Cal Pacino might be an unfamiliar name for many, but with a smooth rap infused ballad he’ll certainly be one to remember.
Formerly known for his role in Backroad Smokers Club, he began his solo recording career with the release of his first single ‘The World Needs More People Like You’ in August 2019.
Artists he’s performed with include Robert Glasper, Alex Gough and TOUCAN.
His style has been described as 'lyrically bold', 'jazzy' and 'strikingly unique' as he tries to intertwine elements from his academic background in jazz guitar and lifelong adoration for hip-hop to create his own distinct sound.
“The motif and melody were written in 2017 and the rap was written in 2019. The themes explored include sensations of longing, wonder and amazement, and the desire for adventure,” the singer/rapper says. “The song is about building a new connection.”
