BTS rendition of Coldplay hit 'Fix You' for MTV Unplugged goes viral
Shared just seven hours ago, the MTV Unplugged performance of 'Fix You' already has over 1,200,000 views.
Global K-pop sensation BTS performed a slew of songs for their highly anticipated MTV Unplugged appearance.
Filmed in South Korea, the special performance premiered on MTV early this morning and included several songs from their November 2020 album, BE (Deluxe Edition).
The outfit also broke the internet with a soaring rendition of the ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay.
Before they dived into the emotional cover, Jimin shared that the Coldplay classic gave them “comfort” during challenging times and that they “wanted to prepare this cover to comfort their fans as well”.
BTS also delivered renditions of their chart-smashing hit ‘Dynamite’, fan favourites ‘Blue & Grey’ and ‘Telepathy’ during the MTV special.
They concluded the five-song performance with a poignant version of ‘Life Goes On’.
There were plenty of outfit changes, spotlight effects and honey-toned vocals from the hugely popular band.
In their closing speech, BTS thanked their fans for tuning in, showing their excitement to perform on stage again soon.
“We look forward to seeing you again,” Jungkook said, “and until then, we will continue to stay by your side with good music.”
