Ballymun collective Bricknasty have released an Irish language track 'is é a locht a laghad' and an accompanying video.
The group formed in 2020 as a lockdown project and consisted of frontman and guitarist Fatboy, producer Cillian McCauley, bassist Dara Abdurahman, Korey Thomas on drums, and Louise Younge on saxophone and keys.
Younge and Abdurahman announced their departure from the band in July.
Bricknasty's new single features contributions from musicians Alannah Thornburgh, Sweet Jayne and Aedín Caverly.
The track is the band's second single, following 'go get that blade', since the release of their most recent mixtape XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ.
"This song is dedicated to my little sister Chloe and all the older siblings who had younger brothers and sisters to look after while growing up in Ballymun," said Bricknasty's Fatboy in an Instagram post.
The band will accompany Belfast rappers KNEECAP at their Copenhagen shows on September 3 and 4.
Bricknasty are also set to perform at 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on December 6.
